Weaving the Wool onto the Loom to Create Navajo Rug

The traditional process to weaving the wool onto the loom is very sacred to the Navajo people. One has to have a special blessing since growing up as a youth. Weaving is in the prayer and songs of the Dine' (Navajo) people. They have no exact science like paper or written calculations of how the yarn is woven into the loom. It is all done from memory as was before. This is part of the oral traditions of the Navajo people. Rose Jackson shows her loom that is weaving a Navajo rug.
